About

She studied Bachelor’s degree and teaching certification in Visual Communication Design, Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, and Popular Music at the Faculty of Arts of the National University of La Plata. Curious, inventive and problem-solver, she loves exploring new ways of thinking, technological innovations, and continuously learning. She is motivated by discovering new projects and inspiring people to exchange ideas, build teams, and grow together.

Melisa received her first analog camera at the age of eight, a moment that sparked a transformation in her visual world, leading to different reflections and pursuits as her perspectives evolved.

She began her journey as a freelance designer in 2010, creating album covers and event posters. Later, she designed brand identities, digital and print graphic pieces, specialized in web development, graphic design for audiovisual projects, and eventually documentary film posters. Melisa has worked at digital marketing agencies EVANCED.net, Doble Nuez, and Rayo Estudio, contributing to the internal and external visual communication of organizations, foundations, and art centers.

Her photography education includes courses with Premium Media, the Cinematographic Photography Authors of Argentina (ADF), and the University of Cinema; the Documentary Image Workshop led by Martín Turnes and Pigu Gómez; and a Photography for Film Workshop by Iván Gierasinchuk at the Select Municipal Cinema in La Plata. She has worked as an assistant director, director of photography, camera operator, and sound technician on independent productions.

Melisa had the significant opportunity to conceptualize and work on the documentary film “The Place of the Body,” supported by the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) and the National Arts Fund (FNA), alongside director Fátima Fernández Mouján. Her roles included assistant director, director of photography, camera operator, graphic designer, and composer of the original music.

As an independent photojournalist from 2010 to 2019, Melisa participated in photojournalism seminars with Martín Acosta at the School of the Association of Graphic Reporters of Argentina (ARGRA), attended the Documentary Photography Workshop led by Gabriel Galán, and joined the “Conversations with Photographers” series organized by ARGRA School. Her photojournalistic work has been published in Pulso Noticias, Vertientes del Sur, and Canal Abierto.

Melisa has exhibited her photography in La Plata, Buenos Aires, Río Grande, and Ushuaia. She has photographed theater productions, live musical performances, studio sessions, social events, and stills for film and short film productions.
